   CRIME PREVENTION TIPS

DISPLAY YOUR ADDRESS!

Be sure to have your address displayed on both the front and rear of your home.

USING A CELL PHONE TO REPORT EMERGENCIES!!

Do you know when you use a cell phone to call 911 sometimes the call will be
forwarded to the wrong dispatch center?

Why?

Because cell phones use airwaves to connect you to whoever you are calling, if  you are on the border of two separate counties there is a chance the call may take you to the wrong county which could cause a delay in emergency response.

So..... If you use a cell phone to call for help make sure you provide the 911 center with the exact location including county and town you need help in.

VALUABLES INSIDE YOUR VEHICLES

Police recommend you do not leave valuable items inside your car.  Cell phones, Ipods, Cd's, DVD players, Money and other valuable items are attractive to thieves.  Try not to leave any of these items inside your vehicle. If you have a radio with a removable face plate, take the time to remove it before you exit your vehicle.
